WHISPERING GRASS

One cool, summer morning a Quite unhappy young child ran eagerly into the soothing wet meadow grass, barefoot. That little girl was me. I was eight. That day, I stumbled upon a haven that was both soft and soothing but also wild and exciting.

What can you hear in the silence? Your footsteps? The soft whispers of the grasses in the breeze? A bird call? A bee? Etc etc

For whatever reason, living life at a slower pace and the serenity of a wild meadow attracted something in you.

the child, I often escaped into the meadows near my home. They were my refuge — places of softness and stillness, where wildflowers whispered their own kind of safety. That early connection has stayed with me through years of living with chronic illness. The meadows became more than memory; they became a way back to myself.

Through embroidery, photography, and gentle writing, I try to capture what those wild places gave me: a sense of freedom, beauty, and quiet strength. Meadow Stories is an invitation — for anyone who longs to slow down, reconnect, and find small moments of peace in a world that often moves too fast.
